Taylor Young is to sponsor a PhD Studentship in collaboration with the University of Manchester`s centre for Urban Policy Studies (CUPS) later this year. Most existing urban regeneration activity is directed at large sites. This doctoral project will address the patchwork of small sites that are often incapable of being redeveloped at viable cost, yet are excluded from brownfield statistics and tend to miss out on improvement. MD Stephen Gleave said “It is fantastic that Taylor Young is able to support urban design research through this jointly sponsored PhD with the University of Manchester, we are looking forward to the selection of an exceptional candidate who will be able to advance the understanding of an overlooked issue”.
